So You Want To Quit Your Day Job?

Before we begin, and before I let the cat out of the bag, it is important that you know that you need to read this entire hub.  I saved the best for last (at the bottom of the hub.)  However, there are some key principles to understand in order to succeed in affiliate marketing, MLM's, or any of the like.

Hopefully, you have not been scared so badley that you have a ton of false ideas in your mind.  Here are the principles that you should know.

• Nothing that is legitimate happens overnight.
• Be sure you have a passion for what you do, otherwise you will burn out in the early stages.
• Never loose sight of where you came from and where you are going.
• Don't forsake friends/family for money, they were there before the money and will be there when you are successful.
• Let wisdom be a guide.  Don't make fast decisions, think about what you are doing before making any final decisions.
• Stay humble, but confident.
• If ever in doubt, ask somebody that knows, assuming will only lead down a dead end path.

It is so easy to get discouraged when beginning in the affiliate marketing world on the net.  The competition is fierce, but if you keep the above principles you will eventually out run the rest of the race and may even be in the race with the "top dogs."

Plan, Plan, Plan!

Never do anything that is promising fast or quick success.  Now to be honest, every single marketing strategy out there promises fast success.  It is possible, however only about 2% of the pool makes it to this achievement, and usually cost a lot up front.  I recommend the slower approach for a couple of reasons.

• If you get rich overnight, you will likely loose it all the next day.  Ever wonder what happens to the vast majority of lottery winners?
• If you learn to manage what you have a step at a time, you will be prudent when you have that much more.

Now, you can disagree with me all you want, and that is okay.  However, I will state that it is a known fact that many lotto winners end up in worse debt than what they began with.  Why?  Simply because they didn't plan out how to use their new found income.  Which by the way is not limitless and eventually ran out.
